Swedish Co-operative Site Solar Water Pumps
In 2010 Powervision designed, supplied and installed a solar water pumping solution for 10 communities around Zimbabwe in conjunction with the Swedish Co-operative Trust. The water pumps have a capacity to pump about 5000L per day and the water is used mainly for horticulture purposes and domestic use. This solution has brought independence and much needed development to the communities
Royal College-Harare
Powervision designed and installed an off- grid solar system for Royal College in Harare. The solar power system is used to power computers and lights in the administration block as well as a block of classrooms. The project has provided power independence for the school and allows for students to come and study during evening hours despite the erratic main grid supply affecting the area.
Zimra Toll Gates
Powervision is also responsible for providing their expertise in the design and installation of most of the Zimra Toll Gate Solar Mobile Power *ed by known and trusted brands such as Tripp.Lite Inverters and Suntech Solar Panels, the system allows for the 24 Hr operation of the toll * bulkhead light design has been commended by many for its functionality and low power consumption. The Mobile Power Unit (MPU) available in varying sizes from 1250W to 6000W power output.
Temaruru Power Scheme
Powervision installed and commissioned Africa's first community owned wind farm in the Eastern Highlands. Power is generated by 5 wind turbines, converted by two mini power plant inverters and used to supply 230V AC power via a mini grid to business, a school, clinic, water pumping, and staff housing and a battery charging * project was initiated by Powervision and supported by Ministry of transport and energy, ZERO and the World Bank. Following the success of this ground breaking project, there are plans to develop more wind farms locally after extensive feasibility studies.
