Rob Smith was a founder director of 'New Zealand Hydroponics International Ltd' in the mid 1970s. Through the inventions and subsequent products of that company plus his authorship of the two popular hydroponic books 'Hydroponic Gardening (1984 and subsequent reprints) and 'Hydroponic Crop production(1999) and over ten years as a regular contributor to the 'Growing Edge' (USA) has become well known in the hydroponic world as an innovator and specialist in many aspects of the industry - He now heads a supply company for outstanding hydroponic equipment including the popular 'Bluelab' range of hydroponic test and control equipment
