COMPANY LEGAL STATUS:
As you would know, we are registered and known as 'ETS GATY ESCO BULK IMPORTS', the Company was registered on 6th August 1982 under the registration no: RCCM-2733-A/82.The registration of the Company was made in accordance with the Companies and Allied matters registration law of 18th March 1919 that co-opted the laws of 23rd March 1920 and which was made through the Commercial tribunal in Porto-Novo under articles 4,5 and 8 of the applicable Law.You will find attached, our Company certificate of incorporation for your reference.

OUR SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES:
We are and have been an import/export based Company since the inception of the Company, we also re-export our imported goods to Companies in other landlocked African countries, as well as indent for firms that do not have import/export * engage in the representation of Foreign firms on sole agency basis, we represent such firms as the famous 'HUNGAROCOOP', a Hungarian co-operative thrift that is engaged in the manufacture of Babies and Children garments. We were also the sole representative in Africa to 'MOTOKOV' Praha, a Czech Company that manufactures the popular 'Jawa & Cezet' brand of Motocycles.Including others time will fail us to mention here.
OUR COMPOSITION:
We have a staff strength of 35, 6 in the managerial section at the head office here in Cotonou, 9 in the transport section that man our delivery vans to our branches and end buyers, we supplied diverse articles to both supermarkets and departmental stores at inception and this made it pertinent that we acquire lots of delivery vehicles to accomplish after sales services and delivery to our bulk buying clients. We have Branches in Portonovo, Parakou, Mallanville, Dassa Zoume and Allada, just to mention the major ones and each branch has a Manager and an accountant and some non regular staff that help oversee the day to day running of each branch.We have well trained and versatile sales personel whose duty is to creat and develop the market to new and innovative products in our local and regional markets.
OUR AIM & OBJECTIVES:
Our primary aim is to creat a large conglomerate, a mammoth of a firm that will carter for at least 75% of the needs of our local market, in every sphere of activities and requirements. Hence the creation of the different departments that handle different types of products.The Head office negotiates and imports on behalf of the different Branches and departments, our aim being to strictly control the activities of the Company from the head office and avoid any form of damage to her reputation and intergrity. We have the general Foods and Beverages section and we are ever expanding out items of trade, apart from apples we aim to import also Grapes and garlic, including Pears but our only problem that is militating against our importation of these products is the incessant and eratic power supply, which makes it difficult to preserve some of these items. As such we made it mandatory to co-opt our end buyers before the importation of certain perishable items since we do not have the facilities to stock and preserve such.
