International Blackcurrant Association

An association representing the blackcurrant industry. The association came into being in 2008 at the inaugural wortld blackcurrant conference held in New Zealand and its authority mandated at the second international conference in France in 2010. The Association is governed by a Board representing country members. As of July 2010 country members are France, the UK, Japan, New Zealand, Denmark and Germany. In addition to country members another 8 countries attend the annual conference and share ideas in various forums. The Association is governed by grower groups but includes health science, agronomy, and plant-breeding sectors as well as commercial processors and brands.
